The Birthday Girl...

She glazed her own cake! Pink, of course! It tasted wonderful.

Here she is with the badge we made on the left and she got the one on the right at school. She had a great day!

Happy Birthday, Camille!

Camille turns eight today!! She is sooo excited to have her birthday. In fact, she's using it to her advantage every chance she gets. She even wanted me to make her a little badge to wear to school that says "Birthday Girl" on it. So, ten minutes before walking out the door we quickly cut and pasted a little badge for her to wear. I'll post pictures later.

This birthday is a big deal! She had her interview with the Bishop on Sunday and she is ready to be baptized. We've been doing the missionary discussions for FHE using Terry's "vintage" pamphlets and flipchart. I'm quite impressed how much my children understand about the gospel--something that I'm extremely grateful for.
Camille will be baptized on December 1st.

November Already!

I've been playing with my new birthday toy. I received an ipod shuffle this year. I was very surprised as we are not that into electronics in this family, well, I'm not at least. I don't even want a cell phone! I don't want to be that available. When I imported my music from my CDs and registered at iTunes I got to name my ipod. Tania's Blue is her name. How unoriginal. I love to have all my favorite music in one little tiny place! We don't have a jazz radio station here and Portland's is too far away so I have my own little smooth jazz collection in the palm of my hand.

It's been gray and cold lately. Definitely the way I remember Oregon. I miss the sunshine in Colorado!

Halloween was fun for the kids. They got way too much candy, as usual. Lindsey has finished hers already! Just a few little tootsie rolls left. Everett and Camille are a bit more careful with theirs. But what they may not realize is that their dad sneaks it after they've gone to bed! It won't taste good after Christmas anyway, right?

Well, I've finished the first Stephenie Meyer book, Twilight, and it was intriguing. An excellent read! I'm reading the second book now and it's been fun to have something to do rather than watch TV. Reading with a baby is a struggle though, make that nearly impossible! I can hardly wait til' bedtime!
